Description of Work

Rathbanna was instructed by owners of The Westenra Hotel, Monaghan to produce decorative brass back bar shelving, and polished brass egg and dart plinth to the bar counter.

Materials Used

The back bar shelving was produced from box section brass, brass rod, and angle profiles. The tops posts of the shelving received acorn brass finials for decoration. The design was challenging as led had to be incorporated within the shelving.

The brass plinth was produced from sheet metal brass. The egg and dart design was pressed in to the sheet metal.

Duration of Work

Rathbanna carried out site surveys, produced inhouse working drawings and make the shelving and plinth to specification. The metalwork was produced and fitted within a 3-month period.
